Search by Standardised MedDRA Query (SMQ)

Standardised MedDRA Queries (SMQs) are validated, predefined sets of MedDRA terms grouped together to facilitate the retrieval of coded data.

To search using SMQs:

1. Click Filter → Reaction → SMQ.

2. Navigate through the SMQ or use the SMQ search bar.

3. Select the SMQ. Certain SMQs and PTs allow selection of Broad, Narrow or Algorithmic scope.

4. A description and additional information will appear when the icon next to the SMQ is clicked.

5. Click Save.

The results will include reports matching terms within the selected SMQ.
