Exporting reports to AfriVigilance

Sharing reports with AfriVigilance is only available to some African organisations. To request access, contact UMC [email protected].

In organisations where this feature is activated, users at the national level can send copies of reports to AfriVigilance.

The following information is masked in the reports share with AfriVigilance: - Patient information: Patient information: Initials, Parent initials, Additional record numbers. - Reporter information: All data is masked, except for Reporter qualification and Country of reporter.

To send copies of reports to AfriVigilance:

  1. Go to “Report list” and apply the filter: Advanced filterOther Show reports ready for copying to AfriVigilance.

  2. Apply any additional filters required by internal routines or other guidance. Examples include Status of report, Initial receive date, or specific medicines or vaccines.

  3. Select the reports to be shared, either individually or by selecting all reports on the current page.

  4. From the “Reports selected” menu, choose Send copy to AfriVigilance.

When search results span more than one page, increase Items per page to 100 and repeat steps 3 and 4 until all reports have been sent.

For recurring activities (for example, weekly, monthly, or quarterly sharing), it is recommended to save the search under “My filters”.

Sending individual reports

Reports can also be sent to AfriVigilance from within the report. using the Send copy to AfriVigilance button in the top menu.

Which reports are included when applying the filter Show reports ready for copying to AfriVigilance ?

The filter identifies two types of reports:

  • New reports that have not been shared with AfriVigilance and meet the minimum data requirements, including:

    • Initial receive date

    • Report type

    • Initial reporter marked as primary

    • Patient information

    • Suspect/Interacting drug

    • Reaction/event

  • Follow-up reports to previously shared cases that also meet the minimum data requirements.
